I thought you might like a little insight into the person behind the scenes.
I am a wife to the best husband a lady could ask for. I love him more and more each day. I am the mother of five spectacular children (even if I didn't give birth to them all). I like to say that horses, dogs, chickens, cattle, and kids are what we take care of around here. Most days you will find me in a pair of jeans, a camo baseball cap, and a pair of boots. I am blessed to be a 4-H leader and the President of our county Domestic Divas Extension Homemakers Club. I believe it is important to be an asset to your community.
I taught High School Mathematics for 8 years, until my husband and I decided it would be beneficial for me to stay home and help around the farm as well as be more available for the kids.
Some of my favorite things in life include: turkey hunting, photography (outdoor), baking (love my sweets, especially dark chocolate), blogging, suppertime with all my family and hearing their funny stories, creating and designing jewelry, and working cattle on horseback with our catahoulas.
I am currently running a small business called Soul Candy Designs. I am the CEO, photographer, web designer, marketer, shipper and receiver, and also spokesperson on any given day. Going from working in the professional world to working at home, this endeavor gives me the opportunity to use my creativity and have somewhat of a flexible schedule.
More than anything else, I am a daughter of the King. I love Jesus with all my heart and pray that I can show His love to others.
